“Heart of Rump” on a grill

Heart of rump a.k.a pave rump steak is a succulent cut that is very special due to it’s richness in beef flavor. It’s packed in flavor! It’s probably one of the most flavor rich beef cuts in the world!

Ingredients

  • 350 g heart of rump steak (hüftsteak)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 head garlic
  • coarse sea salt
  • black pepper

Instructions

  • Bring meat to room temperature before cooking.
  • Grill 3-4 minutes on one side.
  • Turn on the other side, add butter, add rosemary and garlic and baste the steak for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove from grill and let it rest 5 minutes.
  • Slice and sprinkle chives and freshly ground black pepper.
