Fast and Easy Yellow Rice

- 3 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup long - grain white rice
- 1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic
- 1 small onion, peeled and chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 2 cups chicken broth (see notes)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Heat up the butter in a large frying pan, or sauce pan over medium heat
Add the rice and fry until light brown.
Add garlic, onion and turmeric.Stir until well combined. Slowly stir in the chicken broth and raise the heat to medium - high.Bring to boil. Lower the heat to low, cover with a lid. Simmer the rice for about 20 - 25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through.Remove from heat and add chopped parsley.
